Every human needs a Rock Monster Guardian to live and every Rock Monster needs a human to live. This is the way it's been since the beginning. Netri is a young artist who worked hard to get his bonding early so he could go away to school. Together, with his Rock Monster, Garban and his Uncle with his guardian, they go on a treacherous journey to get Netri to school. Callan Compound is inside a mountain with a giant's skull marking the entrance. There he wants to learn the ways of the Faith Givers and all about the Guardians. Netri writes every part of his journey in his journal. This book is actually written by Netri, it's his journal. He's an artist and he never forgets to delight in the landscapes. He writes and draws the whole journey. A book to curl up with. Moments to frighten and excitement to hold you hypnotized. There are surprising twists that will keep you glued until the straightening out of those twists.
